A BIT OF HISTORY

OK....

Maybe not earth-shattering history but rather some general information on a few of the things I've done over the years.

Some great years in the past from an industry that's been good to me and that I've enjoyed immensly. But the most exciting is always the future and I'm looking forward to it.

General Background

This site belongs to a young guy of about 24, using my math. I could be a bit older. It's just the math I have trouble with.

Most of my years have been spent as a Broadcaster, though I've also been a Music Director, Program Director twice, Operations Manager, Manager, and now President of my own company.

I've done mornings in Saskatoon, Edmonton and Toronto, afternoon drive, and aircraft traffic reporting in Edmonton, phone-in shows in Regina and Toronto, and voiced national radio and television commercials, as well as network television voice work, both regionally and nationally. Radio formats have included rock, country, pop, jazz, adult popular, and talk. Two station owners talked me into reading news for a while, though I've never persued a career in that area of broadcasting. I read a good television newscast, but never pursued TV, as in the past I always looked too young on camera.

I was the Executive Producer of a pilot television show on the internet, and have coached in the areas of public speaking, speaking to be remembered, and speaking naturally; not like an "announcer".

Paperwork I've accumulated include a Canadian Private Pilot's license with night endorsement, Boat Operator's certificate, Canadian Power Squadron card, Toronto Harbour License, and a forged literary license I use to misspell words I'm fluent in two languages: unfortunately both of them are English.

The past 20+ years have been spent in Toronto doing radio, commercial voicing and television voice work. Most recently I've been on AM740. The next 15 years is a work in progress.
